This year, the WWC will be held in collaboration with Basque Culinary Center. One contestant in this Competition's European qualifying tournament (to be held on November 27th, 2019) will win a ticket to the WWC final.

This year, the WWC will be held in collaboration with the Japanese Culinary Academy's "Japan Culinary Art Competition" in which Japanese cuisine chefs from around the world and from Japan compete for the top. One contestant in the Competition's New York qualifying tournament (to be held on January 13th, 2020) will win a ticket to the WWC final. Applicants who wish to compete in the US should apply to the Japan Culinary Art Competition. Please visit their homepage for more details.
Special project:
The Japanese Food Contest “The Art of Tradition-A Japanese Culinary Competition” sponsored by MGM RESORTS JAPAN LLC will be held on October 21 and 22, 2019 in Bellagio, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. As a collaboration with this machine, the Japanese Food World Challenge Executive Committee has decided that the winner of the Art of Tradition will participate in the 7th Washoku World Challenge final competition. I hope that the charm of further Japanese food and food culture will be one of the opportunities to be transmitted to the world.
